I can’t take too much credit for this, however, I made enough updates to the library that I felt it warranted a post.
If you’re migrating your blog from WordPress into Sitefinity, I’ve taken an existing tool (major HT to timw255) and modified it. I disabled some features with loading tags/metadata that caused errors. More importantly, I added the ability to have a “default” e-mail address, properly import the full image from the “thumbnail” images that WordPress typically uses, and cleaned up the summary field.
It’s on Github, so as they say, if you don’t like what I did, fork it and improve it yourself! 8^D

Yesterday I set some goals for the year, one of them being to be more consistent and more frequent with my blogging. Today I want to flesh that out a little bit more according to the “SMART” principles outlined with my task in the 10 days to a better blog workshop.
I’ve had this blog here for about 6 years now [wow, really self?! that long?!] and I never really fleshed out the reason(s) why I blog. Here are a couple thoughts that come to mind, but it definitely needs refining.
Well, after some more soul searching, theme browsing, and general fall-clean-up-ishness, I've "reopened" by photo blog and migrated everything back over there. I love the "tiled" layout that I can display here and it just seems better to have all of the pics in one spot.
Articles, reviews, quotes, links, and general pensee will still remain here.

I was rather distraught (just like a lot of other folks) when Google announced yesterday that it was shutting down Google Reader. I’ve been a long time Feedly user, and my blogs synchronizes directly through Google Reader. I wasn’t sure which direction I would go. Until Feedly swooped in and saved the day!
